About this place
Vinehouse Studio was once part of the old cellar on this smallholding outside McGregor, converted into a single open room with double-volume ceilings and a mezzanine desk overlooking the vineyard rows. It's one of the quieter corners of the Western Cape — McGregor has no through-road, so nobody passes through by accident.
Mornings mean mist off the mountain and coffee on the stoep; by mid-morning it's usually just you, a laptop, and the sound of weaver birds in the vines.
The area
A Cape Dutch village at the end of a dead-end road in the Breede Valley — no through-traffic, ever.
